Inaction and Nursing Home Abuse

When you leave an elderly relative in the care of a nursing home then you should expect that the health and safety of a relative should be ensured. If the health of a nursing home occupant is not maintained as a result of gross negligence of the nursing home staff then the staff may very well be held liable for their (in)actions. In such an instance filing a civil lawsuit against the nursing home is commonly advocated. Part of the reason for this is to seek damages for the negligence and the other part of the reason is to dissuade others in the industry from derelictions in their duties.
